What is Keep it Clean?
Participating businesses commit to keeping their storefronts , sidewalks, and the spaces around them clean and well maintained.
Each part of the district has someone looking after it. City Wardens clean the streets. KSAMC and public agencies deliver the services they are responsible for. Businesses look over their own frontage. DKRI keeps everyone coordinated and supports the overall management of the space.
71% of businesses in the district have signed up with the Keep It Clean programme.
DKRI tracks the condition of the district over time. Some participating businesses have kept their frontage spotless week after week, and you can see the difference from the sidewalk.
Every clean storefront has a team behind it: the janitors, cleaners and shop staff who sweep the step before the shutters go up. From time to time, DKRI thanks these service staff with a token of appreciation.
